Follow these basic troubleshooting steps:

  1.  Check Power:
    • Ensure the TV is plugged into a working outlet.
    • Press the power button on the TV itself (not just the remote) to see if it turns on.
    • Look for a power light on the TV (usually red or green) – is it on?
  2. Remote Control:
    • Test the remote by pressing multiple buttons
    • Replace batteries if the remote doesn’t work (contact staff for replacements if needed).
  3. Cables:
    • Check that all cables (HDMI, coaxial, power) are securely plugged into the TV and any set-top box (like DirecTV).
    • If a cable looks loose, push it in firmly.
  4. Input/Source:
    • Press the “Input,” “Source,” or “TV/AV” button on the remote or TV to ensure it’s on the correct input (e.g., HDMI1 for DirecTV).
    • Cycle through all inputs to test.
  5. For DirecTV
    • Try changing to a different channel
    • Turn the DirecTV box off then on again
    • If the issue is affecting multiple T.V’s it may be weather related
  6. For ReachTV
    • unplug the powerfor the ReachTV box (behind the TV) wait 15 seconds then plug in.
